Random Meme of the Day:
A body of water occupying about two-thirds of a world made for
man -- who has no gills.
The online comic strip Shooting Warhas just taken another step into the brave. In this weeks episode, a backpack nuke destroys Bangalore, India. I am so impressed with this comic strip and I highly recommend it to people. It takes place five years from now, US forces are still occupying Iraq and the situation has gone completely to hell.
In other news, the US Senate has now made the country safer for democracy by outlawing taking a minor across state lines to have an abortion without the parents consent with no exceptions for rape or incest. Is this the kind of thing we are paying these people to do? If so, why are we doing this?
Israel shelled a UN observer post, killing four UN observers. It would appear that this may have been deliberate. Certainly UN Secretary General Kofi Annan believes that it was deliberate.
Condi Rice is in Rome allegedly to broker a peace between Lebanon and Israel but given the performance of the Bush administration in the prior eleven days is it any surprise that no progress has been made?
Lance Bass of the group N'sync came out as gay today.
My girl will be in from Umatilla on Friday! Yay! We've got to get her moved to Portland.
