Bio
39 year old, black, genderqueer lesbian living in a household of meditative geeks in Portland. I am an acadmemic/intellectual by temperment. I meditate (inconsistently) at Dharma Rain Zen Center. My creative passions are cooking, writing and drum circles. There is nothing like a good drum circle to make me feel fully alive.


I am a complete news junkie, although I don't have CNN I download podcasts from CNN, the BBC and PBS' Newshour. I am curious in a wide-range of areas and aspire to be a polymath (although I fall short of that by quite a bit).
